Remains found in McCalla identified as missing 23-year-old Bessemer man

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) —  The coroner says the remains found behind a vacant home in McCalla were identified as 23-year-old Montoures Long.

Long was last seen on July 5 in the area of Brighton/Midfield. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

Bessemer Police reports that they had received a tip through Crime Stoppers that indicated that the victim had been murdered and the remains were left behind a vacant home in the 7300 block of Springer Road in McCalla.
