HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — Hoover is getting ready to move ahead with a new sports complex. At Monday night’s council meeting, they agreed to pay for a portion of the $80 million project.
The approval was for the third and final bid for the new center. The $20 million the city did approve will pay for roofing, glass, electricity and an AC system.
The city says the project is made for the people of Hoover. The new complex will serve trade shows, banquets, area sports tournaments and more.
