FLORIDA (WIAT) — There’s a company that’s now in the business of killing Pokémon. LookingGlass is a cybersecurity company that has been hired by power utility companies in Florida to help stop Pokémon Go players from entering private land and encountering electrical equipment.
The company alters Pokémon Go’s game code to eliminate the title creatures from restricted areas. The coders then send their suggestions to the maker of Pokémon Go, Niantic Labs.
While Pokémon Go remains widely popular, concerns are growing on where players are willing to go to catch ’em all.
