TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — According to the Tuscaloosa County Homicide Unit, the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to the Crescent East Apartments on Friday around 10:30 p.m. in reference to a stabbing. When they arrived, they located a 24 year old female who had been stabbed multiple times. She was then transported to DCH for treatment.
Witnesses report that the victim had been in an altercation with her sister, Ebony Pyles, 17. They say that the altercation started when the victim’s child did something to a drink that belonged to Pyles. Pyles became upset and hit the victim’s child. The victim and Pyles had a brief fight, but then the vicitm went to her room.
When the victim came out a short time later, Pyles began stabbing her. Pyles had already fled the scene when officers arrived. A witness saw where Pyles had gone, so she showed officers and and Pyles was taken into custody.
Pyles has been charged with Attempted Murder and placed her in the county jail on a $30,000 bond.
