(WIAT) — If you’re an AT&T customer, you might be getting a refund. The Federal Communications Commission is ordering them to issue refunds to thousands of customers.
The FCC says AT&T allowed scammers to charge its customers $9 a month for a directory assistance service that doesn’t exist. Most of the customers affected are small businesses using land line phone services.
The total refund will be almost $7 million. AT&T plans to send out those refund checks within 90 days.
