TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — A Tuscaloosa McDonald’s employee is recovering at the hospital after he was shot in the face early Wednesday morning around 4 a.m.
According to Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide, the employee was approached by three masked men at the back door of the McDonald’s on E University Blvd. He told investigators the three men demanded entrance into the building. When he refused, one of the suspects shot him with a pistol.
Police say the suspects then ran east towards Highway 216. The employee, a 52-year-old man, was taken to DCH. His injuries are not life threatening.
