Auburn heads back to school

AUBURN, Ala. (WIAT) — Classes resume on Tuesday at Auburn University.

The school just recently introduced a new bike sharing program. Students can rent bikes from one of the fourteen kiosks on and around campus. The first two hours are free and then it costs 5 dollars an hour after that.

“The bikes we have come with a GPS track on them. It helps us because I know if we need to have more bikes on campus” says Don Andrae, head of parking services at the university.

So far the university has had fifteen thousand rides and over 3,500 people have signed up for the program. Registration is free. You can find out more by going to auburn.edu/parking.
