CBS42 Two-A-Days: Huffman Vikings

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT)- A team with a serious uphill climb this year is Huffman.

They take a step up to the 7A this season and play in maybe the toughest region in the entire state, the 7A Region 3 with Hoover, Spain Park, Thompson and Tuscaloosa-County.

However, the Vikings are taking a very nonchalant attitude about the move. They’ve played plenty of tough competition before. So this move is no big deal.

“Football is football,” head coach Alex Wilson said. “We have already played a number of them. The number just changes, six to seven. Let’s go.”

This season starts this week, Huffman has a bye and begins Aug. 25 against Parker.
