(WIAT) — The ex-Stanford University swimmer accused of sexual assault will be released from jail on Friday. Brock Turner is set to leave jail after serving just three months.
Thursday night, deputies put out barricades to clear a path for when Turner is released from jail.
The case has drawn international attention for what many consider to be a lenient sentence from Judge Aaron Persky. Turner is expected to return to his family’s house in Ohio, but the woman’s advocacy group Ultraviolet plans to protest his release.
Turner will have five days to meet with his probation officer and he will be on probation for three years.
