BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Hurricane Hermine made landfall this morning around 1 a.m. central time near Saint Marks Florida with 80 mile per hour sustained winds. Hermine is now a Tropical Storm moving up the east coast.
We’re seeing high clouds overhead from Hermine, but the clouds should thin as the system pulls away from the southeast. A few scattered showers will be in the forecast into tonight but then wrapping up.
Holiday weekend forecast features lots of warm summer sun and dry conditions. Highs will be in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s. Overnight lows will be in the lower 70’s.
