BRIGHTON, Ala. (WIAT) — The Brighton community will hold a “We Believe in Brighton” event on Tuesday night. This comes one week after a father of three died and several others were hurt during a “Love Thy Neighbor” event in Brighton.
Tuesday’s gathering is a chance for the community to step forward in a better direction.
There will be counselors and people who can give legal advice. State representative Merika Coleman and the organizers say they want people to know there’s help available.
“We Believe in Brighton” begins at 6 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church. There will be food and activities for children.
