MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) — A woman who lost her eye after getting hit by a foul ball at a Montgomery Biscuits game says she’s ready to move forward.
Megan Floyd has had several surgeries since the accident in mid-August. In about five weeks, she will undergo another procedure that will give her a new outlook on life.
“I’ll be getting a prosthetic eye, which is supposed to look normal to my right eye, which is something I am looking forward to,” Floyd said. “That will help me to move forward and be able to be out, and not worry self-consciously.”
The accident changed Floyd’s life in more ways than one. Floyd’s encounter also prompted her boyfriend to propose when she was out of the hospital.
