BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Another September day, another day with high temperatures at or above 90°. This is the 20th day this month with that distinction, coming close to 2009 mark of 23 days out of the month.
Tonight: For High School football games across Central Alabama, expect a mostly clear sky, dry conditions, and warm temps. Temps will be in the mid 80s for kickoff, dropping to near 80 by the time the games are over. Overnight, we’ll see lows drop to the upper and mid 60s.
Saturday and Sunday: Both weekend days will be warm, sunny, and rain-free. Dry air should limit rain in the Central Alabama with highs soaring into the low and mid 90s. Morning lows will be in the upper 60s to near 70.
Next Week: An approaching cold front will increase moisture for us, giving us chances for rain on Monday. Tuesday, the cold front moves in with rain chances increasing for the morning and early afternoon. After that front passes, WELCOME TO FALL!!!
