2 killed in Fairfield gas station shooting

FAIRFIELD, Ala (WIAT) — Fairfield police say two people involved in a shooting in Fairfield have died.

Police say it all started at Chevron gas station on Llyod Noland Parkway Friday afternoon. Two people got in an altercation and gunshots were exchanged. Fairfield police chief Nick Dyer says multiple shots were exchanged between the two people at the Chevron gas station

Cashier Abraham Almanssop said it happened outside pump four. One people involved then got in his car after being shot and making near 41st and Gary Avenue before crashing his car. That person later died. The other person involved in the shooting was taken to the hospital where he also died.

“I just heard shooting. It was scary,” said Almanssop.

Dyer says the investigation continues.
