Friends, family honor memory of UA alum killed in car wreck with scholarship

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Friends and family of the University of Alabama alum killed in a car accident are honoring his memory with the Zach Koch Memorial Scholarship.

Koch was killed last March in a car wreck on Interstate 20/59 in Fosters. He went missing and was later found in his car down a steep embankment.

The scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore level or higher graphic design or digital photography major.

Zach Koch graduated from Alabama in December 2015.

There will be a fundraiser and silent auction on Saturday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Rhythm and Brews in downtown Tuscaloosa. All proceeds go to the Zach Koch Memorial Scholarship.
