Helena man charged with burglary in Hoover


HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — According to the Hoover Police Department, a residential burglary occurred in the 600 block of Ridgewood Drive on September 26. The suspect was seen running from the victim’s garage while carrying tools and a weed eater. The suspect ran to his vehicle and left the scene.

A witness was able to provide the vehicle and tag information to the Hoover Police Department. With this information, detectives were able to identify Jeremy Wayne Reyer, 29, of Helena, as a suspect very early in the investigation. It is reported that Reyer was found to have pawned the items he allegedly stole in a local pawn shop.

Reyer has been charged with Burglary in the Second Degree with a $3,000 bond. He was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail on October 4 and bonded out the same day.
