BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Do you need a checkup? Do you need to register to vote? Now you can do both at one upcoming fair.
The Dannon Project is teaming up with community partners, civic organizations, and the Jefferson County Health Department to host the Be Well & Ready to Vote! Civic & Wellness Fair. The fair offers Birmingham residents the chance to get a free health checkup and help with voter registration.
Some of the health screenings being offered include blood pressure checks, vision screening, and a blood drive. In addition to registering to vote, you can also find out where your polling place is and how to restore voting rights. There will also be veteran services available at the fair.
Be Well & Ready to Vote is being held Tuesday, October 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It’s taking place at The Dannon Project at 2324 5th Avenue North in Birmingham. For more information, call (205)202-4072 or visit their website here.
