COBB COUNTY, Ga. (WIAT) — UPDATE: The murder trial for Tuscaloosa native Justin Ross Harris is delayed again on Tuesday. The judge says a court reporter was not available to reach the courtroom.
The trial is in Brunswick on the Georgia coast, which is an area that is still without power after Hurricane Matthew. Proceedings will resume Wednesday.
ORIGINAL: The murder trial of Justin Ross Harris will continue in Cobb County, Georgia on Tuesday. The court administrator says testimony is not expected to resume until Wednesday.
The trial was put on hold because of Hurricane Matthew.
Prosecutors say Harris intentionally killed his 22-month-old son Cooper by leaving him in a hot car for hours.
Harris’s lawyers called the death accidental.
