ALTOONA, Ala. (WIAT) — According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, three people have been arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred on October 9 at 8 p.m. in the 800 block of Egypt Road.
“Danny Joe Quick, 38, Salena Terrie Miller, 46, both of Altoona, and Charles Edward Wyatt, 33, of Blounstville, were arrested and each charged with one count of first degree assault for their involvement in the shooting of William Kim Denney, 48, of Altoona,” Lieutenant Robin Grant said.
A neighbor called 911 when Denney had come out onto the porch the neighbor’s home saying that he had been shot. Denney is in stable condition at a Birmingham hospital.
The three suspects allegedly went in to Denney’s home to get a cell phone that belonged to Miller. When Denney heard the suspects at the house, he went outside where a fight began between him and Quick. While the men were fighting, Wyatt allegedly fired two shot that hit Denney.
All three suspects are detained int the Etowah County Detention Center. Quick and Miller both have a $50,000 cash bond and Wyatt’s bond is set at $75,000 cash.
