MIAMI (WIAT) — Florida health experts identify another Miami neighborhood where mosquitoes spread the Zika virus to people.
According to the governor’s office, five people are infected with the virus in an area called Little River. A large portion of Miami Beach remains an active Zika infection zone.
More than a thousand people are infected by the virus in the state. Most caught it while traveling outside the U.S., but 155 cases are locally transmitted.
