Gadsden woman arrested for chemical endangerment

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, a Gadsden woman was arrested for chemical endangerment of a child.

“Cynthia Humphries Davidson, 43, of Gadsden, was arrested and is charged with chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony,” investigator Brandi Fuller said.

Davidson stated that she was pregnant. She failed a drug screening for methadone after her arrest.

Davidson was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center with a $10,000 cash bond. As a condition of her bond, Davidson will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections.

It is reported that Davidson is also being held for charges with Glencoe Police, Albertville Police and Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
