Mother and son arrested for meth in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — According to Sheriff Jimmy Harris, the Powell and Sylvania Police Department went to a residence on County Road 572 to serve two felony warrants for Justin Tyler Jackson, 25, of Rainsville, for Escape in the Third Degree and Failure to Appear.

Upon arrival, the officers saw drugs in plain sight. The DeKalb County Investigators were then called to the scene.

As a result, Justin Jackson and his mother Gloria Patterson, 40, of Rainsville, were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
