TALLADEGA, Ala. (WIAT) — Get ready to hear the engines revving in Talladega! Thousands are expected to converge on the East Alabama city for race weekend.
The action kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday.
In addition to the racing, fans can take part in other activities. The “Big One on the Boulevard” party will take place Friday night. Then on Saturday, an infield concert.
A spokesman for the superspeedway says that’s not all.
“For other fans who don’t really want to party, we have other things as well as non-alcoholic areas for fans,” Russell Branham said. “We have a kid’s ticket package. We are actually doing some kids experiences this time as well, all you have to do is go to our website talladegasuperspeedway.com. You can learn more about those opportunities. We really want to make sure that people know we are a race track that is for everybody.”
Another new addition fans will see this year is a service called Talla Taxi. It’s a golf cart service that will take fans from one place to another at the superspeedway for a fee.
The number to call for the service is 205-863-6737.
