BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Record highs are in our rear-view mirror now. Get ready for temperatures 15-20 degrees cooler this weekend, with no real rain chances in sight through next week.
The Rest of Friday: We’ll see plenty of sunshine and cool, breezy conditions. Highs will struggle to hit 70° in most spots this afternoon. Temperatures will fall like a rock this evening, once the sun goes down. Low temperatures Saturday morning will fall to the low 40s, with some spots getting close to the upper 30s.
Saturday and Sunday: Saturday will remain cool, with a little less wind. Highs will rise only to the upper 60s again under an almost completely sunny sky. Lows will fall again to the 40s on Sunday morning. But, Sunday afternoon looks warmer, with highs in the mid 70s. This weekend’s weather will be perfect for the Auburn and Alabama games, plus the race at Talladega on Sunday.
Next Week: Early indications are we’ll stay in the 70s for afternoon highs, with 50s in the morning. No rain is in the forecast either.
