EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – The NFL is re-opening its investigation of Giants placekicker Josh Brown after police released journal entries and emails in which he admitted verbally and physically abusing his ex-wife.
The King County Sherriff’s Office in Washington released the documents late Wednesday to SportsNet New York.
The league made repeated attempts to obtain any evidence and relevant information in the May 2015 case, but was denied by the Sherriff’s Office.
Brown was left home while the Giants flew to London for Sunday’s game against the Rams.
The Giants said they want to review the new information and reach a decision on the kicker’s future with the club, possibly next week.
