TALLADEGA, Ala. (WIAT) — It’s race weekend in Talladega! The Alabama 500 is bringing thousands to the area to camp and attend the race. There is a museum right off Superspeedway Blvd that holds more than 150 exhibits from NASCAR to all Motorsports. The goal is to preserve history in Motorsports internationally.
The International Motorsports Hall of Fame Museum is a great pit stop while in Dega. Countless race cars on display driven by, “the Petty’s, the Earnheardt’s, the Gordon’s, all the ones that came before us…the Baker’s,” Hall of Fame Manager Bruce Ramey said. “It’s just an amazing feeling to be here.”
If you would like to visit the Hall of Fame, click here to check out their website.
Hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CDT every day of the year except New Year’s, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and Easter. The Hall of Fame has extended hours during race weeks at Talladega Superspeedway. The Motorsports Hall of Fame operates on Central Daylight Savings Time.
