TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – The Alabama Crimson Tide came away Saturday with a big win over Texas A&M, with a final score of 33-14. But in the process, the Tide suffered a major loss on defense for the rest of the year. Senior Safety, Eddie Jackson, was injured on a late punt return. He was carted off the field after that. In his postgame press conference, Coach Nick Saban confirmed that Jackson is out for the season with a broken leg.

“Eddie was a fantastic player for us, a great leader…and we’re certainly going to miss him,” said Saban.

Saban continued to praise Jackson, who is considered a top DB prospect for the upcoming NFL Draft in 2017. “He’s done a fantastic job for us and I’m sick for him and his family and I hate it that it’s one of the things about sports, all sports, that we all have to deal with sometimes.”
