(WIAT) — The request for a mistrial in the Ross Harris murder trial has been denied. A judge made the ruling on Thursday.
The request came after the jurors viewed the SUV where 22-month-old Cooper Harris died after being left in the vehicle for hours. Harris’ attorneys called the viewing unnecessary, but the judge said looking at the vehicle would give jurors a better sense of the SUV’s dimensions.
Harris is accused of intentionally killing the toddler by leaving him in the car in 2014. His lawyers call the death accidental.
