Shelby County man indicted after reported vehicular homicide of wife in July

Kenneth Young has been arrested and charged around 49 times, court records claim.

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Kenneth Thomas Young has been indicted by the Shelby County court system after a July 25 incident in which he reportedly killed his wife by running her over with a car.

Young was first booked into jail on around July 27 on a $1 million bond. 

According to the indictment, Young ran over Christen Nichole Carr and did not immediately stop the vehicle and remain at the scene of the accident. The indictment also states that Young did not give his name, address and vehicle registration number, along with rendering his driver’s license to the person struck and killed, and he also did not offer any aid.

A date for Young’s trail is not listed.
