Leeds apartment fire ruled intentional, investigators hunt for suspects

LEEDS, Ala. (WIAT) — An October 25 fire at Cedar Grove Apartments in Leeds has been ruled intentional, according to a release from Leeds Fire and Rescue.

20 people lost their homes after eight units, seven occupied, were damaged in the blaze.

The release states that the fire is still under investigation and that officials from the Leeds/Moody Fire Investigation Task Force and the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office are currently searching for suspects.

Investigators are asking anyone with any information on the fire to contact Lt. Barry Wright at (205) 669-0914.
