BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Some Alabama fans are making the journey to Baton Rouge for the the big match-up against LSU on Saturday.
It’s a match up, many fans say the just have to see in person.
Alabama fans were leaving the Amtrak station in Birmingham Thursday afternoon, headed to LSU.
“It’ll be some pandemonium, I would imagine, because we’re gonna kick LSU’s butt so it’ll be great,” said Brannon Brunett.
Many of the fans who spoke to CBS42 said they didn’t mind the 7.5 hour train ride and then a bus ride to Baton Rouge, they just want to see all of the action unfold in person.
“You can take any kind of refreshments you want of course, I brought my guitar because I might lose my money down in New Orleans so I got to have a way to panhandle and make some money,” said Brunett.
A train is leaving from the Birmingham Amtrak station at 12:08 p.m. on Friday, all other trips on Friday appeared to be sold out.
