TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham HOG members and their fellow motorcycle fans hit the pavement Saturday for a very special cause. They all took part in the 23rd Annual Teddy Bear Ride.
The ride serves as a fundraiser for the Big Oak Ranch. The Christian home gives children a second chance after growing up in bad circumstances.
Participants start at Riders Harley-Davidson in Trussville and make their way to the Girls’ Home in Springville. There they give out teddy bears they’ve collected and more.
The ride takes place in the first weekend of November each year. It’s a free to take part in and motorcycle enthusiasts of all kinds are welcome. People not interested in riding can also stop by and make a donation to Big Oak Ranch.
