Oklahoma cleans up after magnitude 5.0 earthquake hits


OKLAHOMA (WIAT) — Oklahoma is cleaning up Monday afternoon after a magnitude 5.0 earthquake hits the central part of the state.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the earthquake hit Sunday night about 7:45 p.m., 50 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

We have learned that 40 to 50 buildings had “substantial damage.” The quake was felt as far away as Kansas City, Missouri and Little Rock, Arkansas.
