A coroner says investigators have discovered a third body on the property of a South Carolina man who has been linked to seven deaths.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said Monday that he doesn’t know the sex of the body or how long it had been buried there.

Authorities say Todd Kohlhepp, 45, became a suspect in the seven deaths in the days after a woman was found chained by her neck and ankle in a metal storage container on his 95-acre property near rural Woodruff.

The body of the woman’s boyfriend was found a day later. The remains of the other two people were found on the property Sunday and Monday.

Following his arrest, authorities say Kohlhepp confessed to a 2003 quadruple slaying at a motorcycle shop in the small town of Chesnee.

Investigators will return to the property Tuesday but do not think there are any more bodies there.

The South Carolina man who confessed to a quadruple murder in 2003 after authorities found a woman chained on his property will represent himself in court.

Sheriff Chuck Wright told the Spartanburg Herald-Journal (http://bit.ly/2fyeVOe ) that Todd Kohlhepp is choosing not to hire an attorney.

Kohlhepp became a suspect in at least seven deaths after a woman was found Thursday chained by her neck and ankle in a metal storage container on his 95-acre property near rural Woodruff.

WSPA-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2fwxkwb ) that authorities granted three requests before Kohlhepp confessed to the 13-year-old slayings at a Chesnee motorcycle shop.

Wright says he let Kohlhepp talk to his mother. Wright delivered a photo to Kohlhepp’s mom. And he transferred money to a girl Kohlhepp says he’s helping raise, to help pay for college.

Kohlhepp is also charged with kidnapping. More charges are expected. A body found Friday on the property has been identified as the boyfriend of the woman found a day earlier. Kohlhepp has shown officers where he says two more people are buried. Human remains were found in one gravesite Sunday.

Investigators continued Monday combing for human remains and other clues on the South Carolina property of a man accused of a grisly crime spree stretching more than a decade.

Todd Kohlhepp became a suspect in at least seven deaths after a woman was found Thursday chained by her neck and ankle in a metal storage container on his 95-acre property near rural Woodruff.

His arrest in that case led to his confession in a notorious quadruple slaying at a motorcycle shop from 2003 in the small town of Chesnee, investigators said. He was denied bond Sunday during a brief court appearance on four murder charges for those slayings.

He’s also charged with kidnapping the woman, and more criminal counts are expected.

A body found Friday on the property has been identified as the woman’s boyfriend. Both had been missing since late August. On Saturday, Kohlhepp showed officers where he says two more people are buried. Human remains were found in one of those sites Sunday.
