HARTSELLE, Ala. (WIAT) — Voters in Hartselle have approved alcohol sales. Unofficial results show Alabama’s largest dry city approved sales with 3,791 votes in favor and 3,032 against.
This is the fifth time the city has voted on alcohol sales since 2002. City officials say alcohol sales could generate as much as $400,000 a year.
Hartselle now joins Decatur and Princeville as wet cities in dry Morgan County.
