Altoona man arrested for possession of firearm

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, an Altoona man was arrested in connection to possessing a firearm illegally.

“Charles Adam Snead, 30, of Altoona, was arrested and is charged with Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, which is a felony,” Lieutenant Robin Grant said.

Investigators saw a shotgun inside Snead’s home while speaking with him about a possible theft case. He claimed the gun as is and admitted to the violation of possessing the firearm. Snead is a convicted felon and is forbidden by law to own a gun.

Snead is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond. He is also being held for a probation violation.
