ENSLEY, Ala. (WIAT) — According to Captain Harrell, three house fires took place within the span of two hours in the Ensley area on Friday.
The first fire occurred at 2:35 a.m. on Woodland Avenue and 12th Street Southwest. The house was vacant and the cause is under investigation.
The second fire happened at 3:28 a.m. on Prince Avenue and Warrior Road. This house was also vacant and is under investigation.
The third house fire happened on 42nd Street and started at 4:12 a.m. The fire was under control around 6:08 a.m. Two homes were involved in this fire. The fire at one home spread to the second home. All occupants made it safely out of both homes. This fire is also under investigation.
