BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A car crashed into the Chevron gas station on 10th Street North in Birmingham on Monday morning. According to Birmingham Police, the driver of the car got out to pay for gas, but forgot to put the car in park.
There reportedly was a passenger in the vehicle when the car started moving towards the building. In an attempt to stop the moving car, it is believed that they accidentally pushed the gas, which caused the damage to the building.
The only people inside the building at the time of the crash were the clerk and the driver of the vehicle. No one was injured.
