Alabama to face Washington in the College Football Playoffs

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — After a 54-16 rout of Florida in the SEC Championship on Saturday, the Alabama Crimson Tide learned on Sunday who they would be facing in the first round of the College Football Playoffs. Alabama was a given for the #1 spot, but 2-4 have been in question for the last few weeks. We now know the order.

Nick Saban, and the Crimson Tide will be returning to Atlanta on December 31st to face the Washington Huskies at 3 p.m.

Clemson and Ohio State will also faceoff on New Year’s Eve. Clemson jumped Ohio State in the final rankings to be #2.

Alabama has appeared in the College Football Playoffs all three years of it’s existence.
