(WIAT) — The National Steak and Poultry Company is recalling nearly 2 million pounds of ready-to-eat chicken. The company says the meat may be under-cooked. The problem may lead to a possible bacterial contamination.
The recalled products include certain bags of the Hormel Natural Choice Fully Cooked Chicken Strips, as well as The National Steak and Poultry Grilled Boneless Chicken Breast Meat.
The affected chicken was produced between August 20 and November 30. So far, there are no reports of illnesses.
Consumers who believe they have been sickened by one of the recalled products should call the company.
