BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Christmas is just around the corner and it’s time to get those presents wrapped. If you’re not the best at wrapping, Grace House Ministries is here to help and raise money for a good cause at the same time.
The Grace House Gift Wrap Booth is open now at the Riverchase Galleria. Volunteers will wrap your gifts –no matter what size–for $3 a piece. All proceeds go towards Grace House’s mission.
Volunteers man two wrapping stations inside the mall. One booth is set up near the new H&M store and Chico’s on the first floor. Another is set up on the second floor near the Belk Men’s entrance above Santa’s photo station on the first floor.
The booths are open seven days a week with hours similar to the mall’s. Volunteers will be at the booths Monday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Grace House Ministries is a non-profit group home in Fairfield for girls in foster care. The girls are placed into the home by the state. Next year, they will serve 27 girls ages 6 to 26 years old at the house.
If you’re interested in donating in other ways this Christmas, Grace House Ministries has set up an Amazon Wishlist for the girls. That can be found here. You can also sign up to volunteer for the gift wrapping booths. To find out more about Grace House, click here.
