BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — UPDATE: Quintrell Lashon Alexander, 42, and Trinetta Yvonne Pendleton, 35, have been identified as the two in the house.
ORIGINAL: Birmingham Police detectives are conducting a homicide investigation on the 700 block of 17th Street Ensley. Initially, officers responded to reports of a house fire at the residence. While conducting a search, Birmingham Fire & Rescue found one male and one female dead from gunshot wounds, says Sgt. Bryan Shelton.
“Senseless is an understatement. Planning a funeral is not something we hope to do this time of year, especially under these circumstances,” Shelton says.
A motive or suspect for the murders have not been established.
