Leeds Police Chief resigns, interim chief appointed

LEEDS, Ala. (WIAT) — Leeds Police chief Byron Jackson has resigned, and an interim chief has been appointed, according to Mayor David Miller.

Miller stated that Jackson has resigned for “personal reasons,” leaving the position on Tuesday.

Miller has appointed Lt. Ron Reeves as acting chief as the department begins the search for a new chief.
