MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) – Senators asked a budget committee to vote on the autism bill this week.

The bill would require insurers to pay for intensive therapy.

The bill passed unanimously in the House but has been stalled in the Senate. According to Senator Dick Brewbaker, 26 senators signed a petition for the vote because the legislative session ends soon.
