Woodfin, Mayor Bell headed for runoff

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — CBS 42 was at Birmingham’s City Hall as election results came in, working to report them here in real time. Below are the elections results:

RELATED | 6 City Council members voted back in, 3 districts facing runoffs

Mayor Bell garnered 36.5% of the vote while challenger Randall Woodfin received 40.8%. Chris Woods came in third place with 18.15%. Mayor Bell and Woodfin will therefore face off in a runoff election on Oct. 3.
