Possible hazmat incident at St. Vincent’s Hospital false alarm

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Hazmat crews were dispatched to St. Vincent’s on a call which turned out to be a false alarm, according to Birmingham Fire and Rescue.

The possible incident was made public around 2:15 p.m. According to Captain Watson with the department, someone found a bottle labeled “Germ Warfare 1989.”

The bottle was placed next to a dumpster outside, and someone grew suspicious, but it was discovered there was a mistake by the cleaning crew.
