Alabama Crimson Tide defeats Mississippi State Bulldogs in close 31-24 game

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WIAT) — The #1 Alabama Crimson Tide made their way to Starkville on Saturday to take on the #18 Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The rivalry between the Tide and the Bulldogs has not been kind to the boys from Starkville, as Alabama had a 9-win streak against Miss State heading into tonight’s game.

But on 11/11, the Bulldogs gave Bama a run for their money in a hard-fought loss that sees Bama maintain their undefeated streak. See how it went below.

(1:43) Jalen Hurts runs in a 1-yard touchdown. Score even at 7-7.

(12:41) Andy Pappanastos hits a 30-yard FG to give Alabama a slim lead. Bama leads 17-14.

(6:03) Nick Fitzgerald runs in a TD from 2 yards out to give Mississippi State a new 21-17 lead.


(14:13) Jace Christmann hits a 25-yard field goal to give the Bulldogs a 24-17 lead.

(9:49) Damien Harris runs for a 14-yard touchdown. The game is tied at 24-24.

(0:25) Jalen Hurts passes DeVonta Smith for a 26-yard touchdown. Bama takes a 31-24 lead.
