UPDATE: One of the two inmates that escaped early Monday morning from the St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville has been captured.
The Alabama Department of Corrections says 27-year-old Ronald Odell King was taken into custody around 4 p.m. Tuesday after a tip led their agents to a Birmingham address, where King reportedly surrendered without incident.
The ADOC along with state law enforcement and the U.S. Marshal Service, is continuing the search for Antwone Wilson who escaped with King.
The public should contact local law enforcement, or call 1-800-831-8825, with information that will lead to the Wilson’s arrest.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — St. Clair County Sheriffs are working to find and recapture two inmates who escaped from a correctional facility early Monday morning.
27-year-old Antwone Wilson and 27-year-old Ronald Odell King escaped from the St. Clair Correctional Facility around 5:15 a.m.
Wilson is 5’0″ and 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. King is 6’1″ and 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Wilson is charged with first-degree robbery in 2013. King was charged with first-degree burglary is 2016.
