BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham Police are conducting a homicide investigation after a shooting victim died from his injuries on Monday.
Police responded to the 2800 block of 32nd Place SW around 10 p.m. Officers found 45-year-old Marlon Hale on the floor of a living room suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to UAB Hospital where he later died.
The victim told police that two suspects came into the residence and made him lay on the floor before one suspect shot him in the leg. Hale said that the suspects did not take anything from the house and fled after shooting him.
Hale told officers that one suspect was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans, and the other was wearing a grey sweatshirt.
